Children's Peace Circles
Fort Collins & Surrounding Areas

Children have so much wisdom, curiosity, and feeling within them. Listening circles create a supportive space where children are invited to share their thoughts, express emotions, and feel truly heard.

Through simple and guided practices, children learn that their voice matters while also discovering the importance of listening with kindness and respect.

These circles help children develop confidence in expressing themselves while building empathy for others. By sharing and listening in a structured and supportive environment, children strengthen communication skills, emotional awareness, and a sense of belonging within the group.

The circle format encourages cooperation rather than competition, helping children feel safe, included, and valued.

About the facilitator

My work is rooted in creating spaces where people feel safe to express themselves and truly be heard. In addition to my work in wellness, Ayurveda, Reiki, and sound healing, I have spent many years supporting children and families in community and educational settings.

As a mother and longtime advocate for mindful, compassionate communication, I care deeply about helping children feel confident in their voice while learning to listen with empathy and respect for others.

Through these circles, my intention is to offer children a gentle and supportive environment where they can share their thoughts, explore their feelings, and experience the power of being part of a caring community.

Elements of the Circle

Each gathering opens and closes in circle, helping children settle, connect, and reflect together.

Depending on the group and age, circles may include:

• simple breath and mindfulness practices
• guided sharing and listening
• gentle movement
• creative or reflective activities
• cooperative games or storytelling
• closing circle and reflection

These gatherings are designed to feel both supportive and enjoyable, allowing children to explore feelings, practice communication, and connect with one another in meaningful ways.
