Why Train with Emma Horne

This training is guided by Emma Horne, an Ayurvedic Therapist, Reiki Master, and facilitator of healing circles and workshops.

Emma has been working hands-on with clients for over 15 years, supporting individuals each week through her studio practice with Ayurvedic oil therapies, nervous system work, and embodied healing.

Her path has taken her around the world, including in-depth training in Ayurveda in India, where she studied traditional approaches to working with oil, the body, and the subtle systems of healing. She has also trained in Thai Massage in Thailand, further deepening her understanding of touch, rhythm, and therapeutic presence.

Today, Emma weaves together Ayurvedic practices, warm oil therapies, energy work, and intuitive healing to create sessions that are deeply restorative, grounding, and transformative.

Her trainings are known for being warm, experiential, and rooted in real practice - empowering you to have the confidence to work with the body in a way that feels intuitive, safe, and deeply supportive.

Students often describe her trainings as feeling less like a course and more like a deeply held, immersive experience.

“I am so happy I found Emma! I fell in love with shirodhara treatments in Asia and did not expect to find a true practitioner offering that in Fort Collins. She holds a wealth of knowledge and is such a beautiful presence. I attended her Ayurvedic Marma Training - she is a great teacher and I walked away feeling like I really gained knowledge and skills to practice this on friends and family. Dreaming of her being my postpartum doula whenever that time comes.”

Pre-requisites

This training is open to practitioners, students of Ayurveda, and those already working in wellness or body-based practices.

While no formal massage therapy training is required, it is best suited for those who feel comfortable working with touch — or who are planning to pursue licensure to offer hands-on therapies professionally.

A basic understanding of Ayurveda is helpful but not necessary. You’ll be supported with foundational teachings prior to the training so you feel prepared and confident as we begin.

Do I need prior experience in Ayurveda

No prior experience is required. We’ll cover the foundational principles in a pre-training session so you feel supported stepping into the work.

Do I need to be a licensed massage therapist?

No - however, if you plan to offer these treatments professionally, you may need to follow your state’s licensing requirements for hands-on bodywork.

Will I feel confident offering these treatments after the trainings?

Yes - this training is designed with depth and integration in mind. You’ll have time to practice, receive feedback, and embody the techniques so you can offer them with confidence.

What makes this training different?

Rather than covering many techniques at once, we focus on a few core practices taught with depth, repetition, and presence - allowing the work to truly land in your hands and your awareness.

Will I receive a certificate?

Yes, you’ll receive a certificate of completion at the end of the training.

What kind of support is offered after the training?

You’ll be invited to a post-training integration call where you can ask questions, receive guidance, and feel supported as you begin to bring the work into your practice.
