Abhyanga is one of the most nurturing and transformative practices within Ayurveda - a ritual of warm oil, loving touch, and nervous system restoration. Rooted in ancient Vedic wisdom, this massage is far more than a treatment. It is an act of deep remembrance: a return to your body, your breath, and your innate capacity to heal.

The Love Medicine of Ayurveda

In Sanskrit, the word sneha means both oil and love. This is not a coincidence - it is the foundation of the practice.

When warm herbal oil is poured onto the skin, the body does not simply receive moisture, the medicinal properties of the carefully selected oil, or lubrication.

 

It receives love.

 

The oil becomes a messenger, carrying nourishment, warmth, and emotional softness into the deepest tissues. Abhyanga is a ritual that says,

Each session is a 75-minute experience, with time to arrive, receive a 60-minute treatment, and gently rest and integrate with tea - so you can fully soften before returning to your day or enjoy an extended check-in  (so please allow an extra 15 mins)
